Construction of a combined heat and power plant in Siechnice
A combined heat and power (CHP) plant was built in Siechnice on Stawowa Street. Ramirent assisted in the realisation of this project by lending the containers that make up the construction facilities.
The construction of a new combined heat and power (CHP) plant to replace a 120-year-old coal plant has been completed in Siechnice on Stawowa Street. Construction lasted from 2022 to 2024. The new unit will be based on natural gas as an energy source. This will reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 61%. The new CHP plant will supply electricity and heat to the residents of the Siechnice municipality and the southern part of Wrocław.
During construction of the CHP plant, 218 modular containers were used as comprehensive utility facilities. The carefully arranged facilities were designed to fully meet the organisational and social needs of the project.
The project included 74 office, 24 sanitary and 120 changing room containers, as well as 82 landings and six external three-storey staircases made of SCAFF elements. This solution offered fast, efficient and comfortable spaces for work, rest and hygiene, ideally suited to the needs of construction environments and other demanding working conditions.
Polimex Mostostal was the general contractor.
